All Secure Network Gateway workflow is triggered by user defined "profiles"
that are stored in the database. These profiles can be easily created in
minutes through a Windows GUI application. There is never a need to write
programs or scripts to control workflow.
Console
Secure Network Gateway Console application allows an administrator the ability
to selectively view the status of all communications jobs under control of the
workflow manager.
Automated Workflow Manager
The workflow manger (Momentum Systems' Automatic File director) is a high
performance application that initiates, tracks and manages all file transfer,
processing and scheduling events within Secure Network Gateway.
Legacy and IP Protocol Support
Secure Network Gateway directly supports BSC 2780/3780; ASYNC XModem, YModem,
ZModem and Kermit; FTP, SSL-FTP and HTTPs.
Multi-Fax Capabilities
Secure Network Gateway supports up to 16 concurrent fax lines. In addition,
support is provided for automatic modem pooling, so the need to load-balance
faxes by port is eliminated. This feature will especially benefit organizations
requiring fax confirmations in high volume environments.
E-mail Notification and File Transfer
Secure Network Gateway allows you to use e-mail as a notification vehicle and
also permits the transmission of multi-file attachments.
Mailboxing
Secure Network Gateway provides the capability of creating mailboxes into which
files are automatically retrieved and deposited by remote sites.
Encryption
Secure Network Gateway includes a proprietary 46 byte software encryption
package with an unlimited license to distribute client versions.
Security
Secure Network Gateway is a software "firewall" that isolates the remote site
from the mainframe and back-end processor environment. Secure Network Gateway
will not allow any file to reach the back-end unless it has been authenticated
and matched to an existing profile.
Security Call-back
This feature allows Secure Network Gateway to ensure that the remote
transmitting location is authentic.
Application Integration
Secure Network Gateway automatically executes any applications specified in the
profile for any file that passes through the windows server.
Database Support
Secure Network Gateway supports the SQL Server database environment.
Automated FTP (AutoFTP)
Secure Network Gateway supports an automated FTP client environment that offers
unattended sending (PUTs) and retrieving (GETs) of files with any number of IP
accessible severs and folders. Each transfer is tracked, logged and confirmed.
Unsuccessful transfers can be retried or alarm notifications can be initiated.
Full support of IBM MVS Site Commands, including an append command, is
included.
Archival Watchdog
Secure Network Gateway includes a software feature that automates the archiving
and aging of files.
Scheduler
Secure Network Gateway offers both inbound and out bound scheduling.
Notifications can be initiated whenever files do not arrive at the scheduled
time. Outbound transmissions can also be scheduled to activate at the
appropriate time.
Trouble Shooting
Communications logs as well as job level tracking allow the administrator or
the Momentum Systems Help Desk team to quickly identify and correct problems.
