Secure Network Gateway - Additional Functionality |
Secure
WEB Mailbox Integrator
This software allows the Gateway to monitor the status of files deposited in a
Secure Web Mailbox, determine if a file has been downloaded, and create
notifications. However to use this software the Secure WEB Mailbox must reside
on the same server as the Gateway.
File Mapper
If you configure an FTP client to scan and retrieve files from a folder into
which other remote FTP clients are uploading, there is a strong possibility of
retrieving partial files. The solution to the problem is to have the remote FTP
client upload into a primary folder and when the upload is complete rename the
file into the FTP scanned folder. However, giving this capability to the remote
client is not always possible and may introduce security issues.
FileMapper solves this problem. FileMapper is installed on the server where the
uploads take place and the scanned folders reside. With FileMapper’s
point-and-click interface, the customer can associate an upload folder with a
second folder to which the file is to be renamed once successfully received.
This eliminates partial files and does not require the remote FTP client or the
FTP server to be involved in the process.
EDI Split
The EDI Split allows Momentum Systems’ customers, who process and receive
standard EDI stacked files, to separate the individual EDI documents and create
individual files for each EDI document. The individual file can then be sent to
a Secure Network Gateway in-basket for further processing, such as adding JCL,
File Management or Communications via FTP, HTTPs or E-Mail. The EDI Split runs
as an application step within a Profile.
Wildcard Identifier
This product enables the Secure Network Gateway to identify files by their
names when part of the file name changes from day to day. This feature
will help identify files with the following characteristics:
-
The file name is variable from day to day.
-
The file contains a constant portion or portions, which remain the same from
day to day. The constant portion(s) could be used to uniquely identify the file
for subsequent processing.
