Founded in 1989, privately held Momentum Systems, the former systems division of Mohawk Data Sciences, began installing its technology in the financial and service provider industries. These particular industries had a growing need to centrally manage and control their electronic information exchanges. To meet the needs of transferring data with disparate internal processing systems and the heterogeneous remote corporate world, customer-oriented organizations installed Momentum Systems' file communications software.
Momentum Systems continued to build upon its core technology; automated software and unparallel support and service. With the proliferation of EDI and E-commerce in the mid 1990’s, the company’s automated file communications software found its way into the manufacturing, healthcare, retail and government markets, typically to supplement or replace Value Added Networks.
Today, Momentum Systems focuses on bridging and integrating legacy protocols with IP. The company positions its software as staples to the electronic commerce infrastructure.
